Kompas Hotel Aalborg

The room was clean, modern, and stylish with a lovely view of the Fjord. The breakfast buffet exceeded my expectations, with delicious options. The location was fantastic, just a 5-10 minute walk to shops and cafes. The lack of air conditioning was nice. Parking could be a hassle. I struggled to find a spot nearby.

The hotel is relatively well situated, 10 minutes walking from the city center and very near the Limfjord. The room is quite spacious with twin beds, a sofa, a chair and a little table. The bath is small, with "very Danish" furniture. The hotel has its own car park area, which is very comfortable in a place where you have to pay for parking nearby.

The Internet connection is slow, not enough speed to maintain a conversation with Skype.

The lack of air conditioning in the rooms left me sweltering!!! Water pressure in the showers was subpar. Parking was annoyingly complicated with availability issues!!!

Good value for money. The room was clean and I had no issues during my stay at all. Good heating. Decent internet for free.

Water pressure in the shower was somewhat on a lower side (nothing critical, but still not the best). Location is convenient (close to the city center, walkable all around, easy getting to bus and train terminals) - but right now it's right next to huge construction (Nordkraft, new waterfront, Opera), and starting sometime after 6 AM it becomes noisy. Go there in three years though, it'll be a prime place to stay.

Shower pressure was weak, but otherwise the room was really nice.

The hotel itself was unique and perfectly clean and the staff were very amiable, it had amazing location in the downtown of Aalborg.

This hotel was very convenient if you are traveling to or from Norway from e.g., Germany. It is a few minutes off the main path to the Hirtshals ferry. Breakfast was very good. The room small but adequate.

The shower had a water restrictor and delivered maybe 1 liter/minute which was a bit slow. It is on the main street(s) and traffic noise was significant if the windows were open. There is no air conditioning, so on warm days, you want to open the windows.

The bathroom was very small. I think that the price was high comparing with the facilities offered by the room.

During our stay, we were perfectly pleased with the upgrade to two interconnecting rooms for our family. The rooms were impeccably clean and the modern bathroom was a highlight. Breakfast was served early, offering a fantastic variety, and the location was just a short 15-minute stroll to the center of Aalborg and a lovely waterfront area nearby. Parking was also convenient, either at the hotel or for free just across the street.

They tried to give me a smoking-room, even though I booked a non-smoking room. But A little complaint worked.
